Finally hit 175 lb bodyweight. Pushing for 182-185 range before my next strongman comp on May 20th. Gotta get to 200 by end of the year.

This will be the first competition that I’m going to try and compete in the 176-200 lb weight class.
Events:
150 LB Keg Clean and Press for reps. 60 sec time limit. No staggered grip.
Car deadlift for reps. 60 sec time limit.
Farmers Walk Medley. 230 lb per hand down 50 ft. 260 lbs per hand back 50 ft.
Tire Flip/Keg Carry Medley. 650 lb tire down 50 ft. Carry 250 lb keg back 50 ft.
Sled Drag. Pull 650 pound sled 80 feet for time. 60 sec time limit.
I’m super pumped about this show. It should be fun competing in a higher weight class than normal as the implements will be heavier. I will definitely be light for the 200 lb weight class as I only foresee myself being around 185 day of competition. Right now the plan is a 6 week hypertrophy phase/bulk phase starting tomorrow (Monday) followed by 6 week of max strength phase to prep for the competition.

This is just a workout I threw together if there are any issues with any exercises you should substitute them with something more comfortable.

Day 1 (Chest/Triceps/Upper Back):
Warmup: 5 minutes Jump rope or Jog in place followed by static stretching.
Barbell Bench Press 3 x 8
Inverted Row 3 x 8
Dumbbell Seated Overhead Tricep Extension 3 x 8
Dumbbell Bent Over Row 3 x 8
Close Grip Pushups 3 x 15 (Modified version: Close Grip Knee pushups)
Pullups 3 x 5 (Modified version: Use a resistance band and tie it to the pullup bar, put 1 knee on resistance band and it will help you get up to the bar when you pull)
30 minutes Cardio (Running, Biking, Swimming, Jogging in place etc.)

Day 2 (Legs & Core):
Warmup: 5 minutes Jump rope or Jog in place followed by static stretching.
Bodyweight Walking Lunges 3 x 10e
Goblet Squat 4 x 8
Barbell Box Squat 4 x 8 (Start with just the bar, squat down to box, stand back up)
Russian Twist 3 x 10e
Plank 3 x 0:45 seconds
Physioball/Yoga ball Crunch 3 x 15
20 minutes Cardio

Warmup: 5 minutes Jump rope or Jog in place followed by static stretching.
Inverted Row 3 x 8
Dumbbell Bicep Curl to Overhead Press superset 3 x 8 (I can provide video if needed)
Dumbbell Side Lateral Raise 3 x 10 (Go super light with these 3-5 lbs is enough)
Supine Rear Delt Fly 3 x 8 (Go super light with these 3-5 lbs is enough)
Pullup or Assisted Pull 3 x 8 (Use resistance band for help if needed)
20 minutes Cardio

Good Mornings 3 x 8
Dumbbell Romanian Deadlift 3 x 8
Yoga Bow Pose 3x hold for 0:30 seconds
Leg Extension / Leg Curl Machine (If you have them if not skip)
Back Extension Machine (If not then huge a 10 lb plate and do standing back extensions)
Sit-up 3 x 10
15-20 minutes Cardio
It would be helpful if you came off anon so I don’t have to publicly post these but one last question. How often do you have access to the school gym?
EDIT: I’m almost done with this project.
Performed the Death by Push Jerks challenge. Which is the following.
Start a timer during the first minute do 1 push jerk and rest the remaining time of the minute, as the next minute start do 2 push jerks and rest the remaining of the minute, continue adding one rep and only resting the duration of the minute until you cannot complete the required number of repetitions in the minute.
I lasted 6 rounds, the 7th ground eliminated me. Weight on bar was 135 pounds.
SECOND CHALLENGE!
300 meter pinch grip for time.
Complete a 300 meter walk/run while pinching 25 pound bumper plates for time. Unlimited drops allowed.
I completed this challenge in 4:21. I need to work on my grip strength more this one really left me breathing hard.

I am more sore today in the hip adductors and quadriceps area than I have ever been in my entire life. Makes sense since I did so many lunges and that’s a heavily eccentric exercise. The crazy shit I do for fitness challenges…. MAN UP!

I challenge my followers to do 50 Back Extensions and 50 GH Situps for time. This means as soon as you start your first back extension you start the clock and dont stop the clock until your done with all 100 repetitions. My time was 3:55 and my partners time was 5:11. NOW ITS YOUR TURN!
